Manuel Dale Johnson, 67, of Bridgeton, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at DePaul Hospital from an aneurysm followed by a heart attack. He was born March 4, 1940, the youngest of twin boys to Lee Roy and Opal Johnson at the family farm near Advance. He married Carol Ann Bates.

Manuel was confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Grover. He was a 1958 graduate of Ritenour High School in Overland.

Survivors include his parents of Advance; wife; twin brother, Daniel Johnson of Maryland Heights; a sister, LaVerne Johnson-Sample of Patton; and younger brother, Elvis Johnson of St. Charles; one daughter, Christine Weatherford of Wentzville; sons, Manuel Dale Johnson, Jr. of St. Ann, and Michael K. Johnson of Chesterfield; eight grandchildren; and one step-grandchild; four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Collier's Funeral Home at Bridgeton on Dec. 11.

Interment followed at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in St. Ann.
