Sally Pauline Pugh, daughter of the late Robert L. and Ora Mae Cobb Lusk, was born at Piggott, Ark., on May 13, 1917, and died at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at the age of 90.

Mrs. Pugh was a resident of Dexter but had spent much of her life in rural Bloomfield. She was a member of Hills General Baptist Church for more than 40 years and served as the church piano player.

On Feb. 1, 1936, she was married to Leo Alexander Pugh, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1988.

Survivors include one son, Tony Leo Pugh of Dexter; two daughters, Sally Janis Cooper of Dexter and Nancy Joann Jones of Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren ;and many great-grandchildren .

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation was held at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2008.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Steve Tippen and Rev. Ryan Helton officiating.

Interment followed in the Lick Creek Cemetery near Bloomfield.
