Mrs. Combs had lived her entire life in Southeast Missouri and had lived for 65 years in Essex. She had been a member of the Powerhouse Church of God in Christ for 20 years.
Surviving are one daughter, Cynthia Combs of Huntsville, Ala.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Elsie Hester of Florissant, Robert and Beth Hester of Denver, Colo., and Michael and Deborah Hester of St. Louis; two step-daughters and husbands, Susan and Hartlee Tillman of Poplar Bluff, Sandra and Terry Hester of Huntsville, Ala.; two step-sons, Charles Combs of Joliet, Ill., Michael Combs of Sikeston; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 20 step-grandchldren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lee Hester of Essex.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beatrice Davis and Volla Bonner.
Visitation will be held after 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Pastor Ronnie Webb of Poplar Bluff officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
