Ross Bollinger, 90, of Advance was born June 5, 1917, at Bell City, the son of Alvin and Mary Barks Bollinger, and died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Ross was a retired machinist. He was a member of the Bell City United Methodist Church and a member of the Bell City Masonic Lodge. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II.

Ross and Georgia Redman were united in marriage on May 17, 1941, at Benton, and she survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Lee Bollinger of Advance; a grandson; and two step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance with Rev. LeeRoy Hefner officiating.

Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
