Hazel Doris Williams, 70, was born Nov. 9, 1937, in Dallas County, the daughter of Jesse and Hattie (Hinkle) Miller. She died on Feb. 1, 2008, at 10:08 p.m. at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

On Oct. 19, 1957, she was united in marriage with Herbert Williams, and to this union three sons were born. She was a homemaker and had attended Elkhorn, Ky., Tabernacle Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Freddie Miller.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Herbert; three sons, Lonnie of Colorado Springs, Colo., Donnie of Owensboro, Ky., and Ronald of Dexter; two sisters, Myrtle Jones of Louisburg and Nadine Umphries of Buckner; one brother, Frank Miller of Pittsburg; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at Montgomery-Viets Chapel with Rev. Charlie Cox officiating.

Interment followed at the Mission Ridge Cemetery in Urbana under the direction of Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
