Stella Davis, daughter of the late Stanley Zawacki and Mary Ann Garbusz Zawacki, was born on Sept. 20, 1923, at Detroit, Mich., and died in the Crowley Ridge Care Center at Dexter on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at the age of 84.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a former line worker for the General Box Company in Detroit, Mich., and a resident of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to Clinton "Clint" Davis on Sept. 3, 1949, at Detroit, Mich. Mr. Davis preceded her in death on May 22, 2003.
Survivors include three step-sons, Roger Davis of Oquawka, Ill., Dexter "Buck" Davis of Canton, Mich., and Wesley Davis of Brighton, Mich.; one sister, Irene Lipinski of Garden City, Mich.; seven step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother; and two sisters.
Visitation was held from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were then conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Father David Dohogne officiating.
Interment followed in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery near Dexter.
