Sylvia I. Hinze, daughter of James L. Oliver and Barbara Kathryn Burrows Hinze, was born May 4, 1923, at Risco and died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Golden Living Nursing Center in Malden.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Malden.

Survivors include her son, Don Hinze of Kokomo, Ind.; two daughters, Bonnie Curtis of Rixeyville, Va., and Bettie Dowdy of Chesterfield; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Jewel Buckley of Piggott, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and son, Charles Edward Hinze.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.

Interment will follow in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
