Larry Durham, son of the late John and Nora Ogelvie Durham, was born on June 21, 1942, in Bernie and died at the Mercy Southeast Hospital in Bakersfield, Calif., on Jan. 11, 2008, at the age of 65.

Mr. Durham was a truck driver and a former resident of Bernie, currently living in Taft, Calif.

He was married to Susan Durham, who survives of the home in Taft, Calif.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Larry Dewayne Durham Jr. and Michael Dewayne Durham; two daughters, Stacy Lee Durham and Holly Carolyn Durham; two sisters, Loretta Jean Conder and Anice Nell Cox; and 15 grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Lee Durham and William Fredrick Durham; also one sister, Beverly Ann Durham.

A graveside service will be conducted at the Bernie Cemetery on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Doug Sikes officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.

A dinner will be served at the Bernie Community Center immediately following the graveside service.
