Juanita Beatrice Sheldon, daughter of the late James A. and Elva Cooper Mann, was born at Bloomfield on March 5, 1920, and died in the Southeast Hospital at Cape Girardeau on Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at the age of 87.

On Aug. 22, 1936, she was united in marriage to Verlin Sheldon, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1991. She was a member of the Bible Tabernacle Church in Bloomfield.

Survivors include one daughter, Janice Thompson of Bloomfield; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and eight step-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother.

Visitation will be held in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home at Bloomfield at 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Cooper and Rev. Kenneth White officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City with the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of the arrangements.
