Pauline Laverne Whittenberg Davis, daughter of the late Rolla G. Whittenberg and Hynthia Mae Jackson Whittenberg, was born on Dec. 31, 1933, in rural Parma and died in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at the age of 74.

Ms. Davis was a sewing machine operator at Susan's Fashions in Memphis, Tenn. She was a member of the Frayser Apostolic Church of Memphis, and a resident of Poplar Bluff.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Dale Davis of Poplar Bluff and Dennis Gale Davis of Madison; one brother, Riley Dale Whittenberg of Dexter; one sister, Virginia Ruth Whittenberg Craft of Cape Girardeau; three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and three great-grandsons.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie from 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008.

Funeral Services will then be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
