The ice storm that passed through last week leaving widespread damage in its wake is expected to cost Stoddard County about $502,000.
Stoddard County Emergency Manager John Prance has been working hard over the past week gathering numbers in an effort to get figures in to the state in case the county is declared a disaster area.
If that does happen, the numbers submitted will be the maximum allowed.
"That's why it was so important that we gather these figures early," Prance said Monday afternoon.
Almost 50-percent of the estimate is centered in and around Bloomfield, which county officials believe to be the hardest hit area.
