Darla Dement Varvel

Darla Jane Dement Varvel, daughter of Ethel Marie Bolner and the late Willis Pearl Dement, was born on Nov. 13, 1955 in Dexter and died at her residence in Dexter on Feb. 21, 2008 at the age of 52.

Mrs. Varvel was a Lab Technician at Kneibert Clinic at Poplar Bluff and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Ronnie Varvel on July 5, 1997 at Dexter. Mr Varvel survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Larry Robertson of Kennett; two daughters, Sherry Ann Barnes of Springfield and Melissa Robertson of Kennett; one step-son, Robby Varvel of Puxico; one step-daughter, Amy Baney of Puxico; her mother and step-father, Ethel and Homer Oliver Bolner of Lake City, Ark; two brothers, Kenneth Monroe Dement of Shawnee, Okla. and Keath Eugene Dement of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Claire Jean Dement Sterling of New Concord, Kent. and Bonnie Sue Hann of Dexter; three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin Wayne Dement and Earl William Landers.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ken McAnulty officiating.
