Vickie Short, the daughter of the late Alvin and Mary Inman Wells, was born in London, Ky., on Dec. 11, 1960, and died at her sister's home in Dexter on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at the age of 47.

Ms. Short had lived in Dexter for the last five years.

Surviving are her daughter, Deanna Torres of Tijuana, Mexico; one son, Donald Alvin Inman of Pittsburg, Ky.; two sisters, Kathy and her husband, Rick House, and Sandy and her husband, Gene Brown, both of Dexter; two grandchildren, Boo and Kylie.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Gerldene Wells; and one brother, Charles Wells.

Visitation was held after 12 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Pastor Bill Pennington of Dexter officiating.

Interment followed in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
