Local Boy Scouts will be devoting Saturday, March 15 to a major clean-up effort in Dexter.
Many limbs and branches remain in yards across town as a result of the February ice storms. Scout Troop 200 will be available and will be working with members of Dexter's Street Department to help remove limbs from the yards of elderly residents in the area as well as those who have handicapping conditions that prevent them from clearing their yards of the aftermath from the storms.
Those in need of help are asked to register by contacting the Dexter Water Department at 624-5527 or by calling City Hall at 624-5959. Calls should be placed no later than noon on Wednesday, March 12.
