Ovella D. Peck, daughter of the late W.F. and Bertha George Pope, was born on Oct. 6, 1912, in Zadock and died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
She had lived at Fisk since 1954 and attended the Church of God in Dudley. She had been a cook at Fisk-Rombauer School and was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
On Oct. 10, 1931, she was united in marriage to Rev. Woodrow Peck. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1998.
Survivors include her sons, Donald E. Peck of Fisk and Wilson Peck of Campbell; three daughters, Joyce White of Springfield, Elaine Wilkerson of Benton and Patty Peck of Poplar Bluff; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.F. and Bertha Pope; two sisters, Jewell Harty and Opal Harty; and one brother, Leonard Pope; two children, Bill Peck and Elois Floyd; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating.
Interment will follow in Dexter Cemetery.
