Alberta Armes

Alberta Armes, daughter of the late George and Maudie Mayberry Burkhart, was born at Bell City on May 15, 1932, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at the age of 75.

Mrs. Armes was a former resident of Fredericktown where she was an LPN and ran a small residential care center. She had been a resident of Bloomfield the past 10 years and was a member of the Bloomfield Church of Christ. On April 16, 1949, she was married to Albert Armes, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 2004.

Survivors include three sons, Terry Armes of Bloomfield, Gary Armes of Bellvue, Colo., and Randy Armes of Marquand; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Burkhart; and one grandson.

Visitation will be held at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield after 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m.on Friday, March 28, 2008, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Ray Duffey officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
