Investigation results in methamphetamine lab bust in Puxico

Among the things found were several grams of finished methamphetamine, an undisclosed amount in production, 'Liquid Fire,' Coleman lantern fuel and numerous other ingredients and production tools.

A recent investigation in Stoddard County has resulted in the arrests of two people for manufacturing methamphetamine.

Arrested were Tina L. Hayden and Dennis J. Hayden of Puxico. Both are currently facing charges of the Class A felony of manufacturing methamphetamine, Class A felony of attempted manufacture of methamphetamine, Class C felony of possession of a precursor to the manufacture of methamphetamine, Class D felony of possession drug paraphernalia, Class C felony of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Bond was set at $250,000 cash only for both.

According to Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner, an ongoing investigation by the Stoddard County Sheriff's Department and the SEMO Drug Task Force in reference to illegal drug activity, a search warrant was executed at the residence of Dennis and Tina Hayden located at 583 N. Hwy. 51 at Puxico.

As a result of the search warrant a variety of drugs were located at the residence including methamphetamine, marijuana, illegal prescription drugs and an active methamphetamine lab.

According to the complaint filed by Keith Haynes in a Stoddard County court Friday morning, Dennis Hayden was found manufacturing methamphetamine in an outbuilding when police arrived to serve the warrant.

Haynes also stated that the residence was within 1.000 feet of the Puxico School.

I don't think anything about this is a joking matter! Wish it was all destroyed & gone forever! Concerned citizen for our children!

They got caught right in the act and the woman look so sad. Well if you are going to make meth and play the game you must be willing to pay the price.

great job stoddard county BUT your priorities are not right... 250,000 cash bond for dopers and 25,000 bond for molesters... ?? who will get out of jail first??

I think this couple got what they deserve,they needed to be caught. She looks sad due to years of drug abuse!

All in the family! Isn't Ms. Hayden's son in a beautiful orange jumpsuit also?I hope that there isn't any more Haydens or Merrills out in society or we're all in trouble!

I don't think that it is fair to put down the Merrill last name. I have 5 Merrill children that are related to this family, and all of them are very productive children. My oldest is in college,one graduates with honors this year and one in two years and two in middle school Please don't disgrace my children. It is not there fault that there are IDIOTS like this in the family!!!!!!
