Mr. Holigan had lived in Puxico most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 7822 in Puxico. He was a member of the United Association BTJ Pipefitters. His hobbies included reading and playing pool.
On June 29, 1998, he was married to Donna Wickham in New Orleans, La. Surviving are his wife, Donna Holigan of Puxico; one son, Matt Holigan of Puxico; two daughters, Dawn Mueller of DeSoto and Bobbie Jamboretz of Arnold; five grandchildren; one brother, Harold Holigan of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Freda Stephens of Puxico.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Holigan and Marlene Dunlap.
Visitation was held after 5 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield officiating.
Interment followed in the Duckcreek Cemetery near Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
