Louann Gardelle Bien Brown

Louann Gardelle Bien Brown, daughter of the late Kenneth Plunkett and Louanna Arnold Plunkett, was born on Nov. 14, 1942, in San Bernardino, Calif., and died at her residence in rural Bernie at the age of 65.

Mrs. Brown had been a hairdresser for over 30 years owning and operating several beauty shops. She was a member of the Bethany General Baptist Church of rural Campbell and had been a member of the Bethany Women's Missionary Society.

She was united in marriage to Larry Thomas Brown on Feb. 27, 1993, at Bernie.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Thomas Brown of Bernie; two sons, Michael Bien of Dexter and Jeffrey Bien of Advance; nine grandchildren.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryan Johnson and Dawsey Brown officiating.

Interment followed in the Bethany Cemetery.
