Geneva Thrower Mann Robinson

Geneva Robinson, daughter of the late Gentrey Thrower and Martha Cowan Thrower, was born on Dec. 8, 1919, in Dexter and died at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter on Monday, April 7, 2008, at the age of 88.

Mrs. Robinson was a former technician for Dexter Memorial Hospital, a beautician for many years, and a resident of Dexter.

On Sept. 18, 1953, she was united in marriage to Chester Robinson in Dexter. Mr. Robinson preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1983.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Miller of Dexter; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Donald Mann; one brother, Andrew Thrower; and two sisters, Lemial Tee Welborn and Alyce Marie Smothers.

Visitation was held from 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Roy Sherfield officiating.

Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
