Mr. Ezell entered the United States Air Force in December 1954 and retired in January 1977 at the rank of master sergeant. Throughout his career, he served at many Air Force bases, including tours in England, Germany, and Thailand. He was always known for being an excellent mechanic and for his enormous sense of humor. He was a member of the Jacksonville, Ark., V.F.W., where a memorial service was held at noon on Monday, April 14, 2008.
He is survived by one daughter, Teresa James of Swansea, Ill.; three sons, Timothy Ezell of Jacksonville, Ark., Eugene Ezell of Buena, Texas, and Theodore Ezell of Suitland, Md.; four sisters, Shirley Smith of St. Charles, Bonita Lewis of Tasp, Calif., Linda Beck of Potosi, and Doris Bosse of Bakersfield, Calif.; three brothers, Ray Ezell of Dexter, Billy Ezell of Perry, Kan., and Bobby Ezell of the Philippine Islands; and four grandchildren.
Visitation was held from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Adams officiating.
Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
