Irene F. Dillworth, daughter of the late William Thomas Tyson and Beulah Lee Snow Tyson, was born on July 6, 1920, at Cottage Grove, Tenn., and died in the St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau on April 15, 2008, at the age of 87.

Mrs. Dillworth was a member of the Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, a former clerk with the Hensley Variety Store in Bloomfield, a former resident of Dexter, and a current resident of Jackson.

She was united in marriage to Loyd Dillworth on Oct. 28, 1939, at Bloomfield. Mr. Dilllworth preceded her in death on March 16, 1998.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Buchanan of Smyrna, Tenn., Brenda Tucker of St. Louis, and Sherry Ford (Elmer) of Jackson; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Tyson and Ralph Tyson; and two sisters, Martha Jones and Ruth Gibson.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rick Chambless officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
