Mildred Lucinda Blackburn, daughter of the late Samuel Sanford and Nellie Mae Whitworth Hardin, was born in Clinton, Ark., on June 28, 1931, and died at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at the age of 76.

Mrs. Blackburn had lived most of her life in Parma. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Parma.

On Feb. 16, 1954, she was married to Tommy Blackburn in Corinth, Miss.

Surviving are her husband, Tommy Blackburn of Parma; three sons, Sam Blackburn of Sikeston, Carl Blackburn of New Madrid, and Chris Blackburn of Parma; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Frank Hardin of Malden.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Sam, Lyle, Joe, Herbert, Hubert, Wendell and Bill Hardin.

Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2008, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Bro. Bud Mayes of Malden officiating.

Interment followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
