Ralph J. Walters

Ralph J. Walters, son of the late Ralph B. Walters and Letha McGehee Walters, was born on Sept. 26, 1929, in Stoddard County and died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Grandview Healthcare Center in Washington.

Mr. Walters was united in marriage to Evelyn Bell on Oct. 8, 1975.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Bell Walters; two sons, Colin Walters of St. Louis and David Walters of Jackson; one daughter, Vickie Green of St. Charles; one step-daughter, Elaine Fehr of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Chester Walters of Dexter; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dale Walters.

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at Miller Funeral Home in Washington.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Presbyterian Church of Washington with Rev. Bill Vincent officiating.

Interment followed at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery in Washington.
