Lloyd Leon Cox, son of the late Lloyd Franklin and Ruth Bennett Cox, was born at Bloomfield on Sept. 28, 1934, and died at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at the age of 73.

Leon was a lifelong resident of Bloomfield and was a member of Hill's General Baptist Church near Bloomfield. He had formerly worked for Bennett Wholesale and was an Honorary Stoddard County Reserve Deputy Sheriff.

Survivors include three brothers, Don Cox of Trenton, Mich., Dennis Cox of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Charles Cox of South Gate, Mich.; one sister, Virginia Hampton of Bloomfield.

Visitation will be held at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield on Saturday, April 26, 2008, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, April 26, 2008, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Kenneth Gaines officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hills Cemetery near Bloomfield.
