Dexter joined with cities across the country Thursday to offer up prayers for our national and local government leaders shortly after noon as the annual National Day of Prayer was observed at City Hall. Several local ministers took part in the observance, with each leading prayer for a specific group of national, state and local government, branches of the military, emergency responders and school officials. Shown is Fr. David Dohogne of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Rev. Kenneth Biggs standing at left, alongside Rev. Steve Easterwood. Dexter's Ministerial Alliance sponsored the prayer service.

Very good article, Noreen. If there ever was a time when our nation and fellow citizens needed prayer, it is now.
