It was learned Monday that Donna Hill of Dexter lost her long battle with cancer on Sunday evening while staying with family in Arizona.
Hill will long be remembered for her continuing efforts toward the betterment of Missouri Southern Healthcare and its patients. The widow of the late Dr. Ron Hill, she was referred to by a colleague as "the hospital's strongest advocate."
Donna Hill spearheaded the Ron Hill Scholarship Foundation. The foundation assists individuals in Stoddard County who are employed in the healthcare field and wish to further their education to enhance their skills and knowledge within the community.
Although Hill resided in Arizona for most of her life, her wish was to return to Dexter and to be buried alongside her late husband. A complete obituary will appear as it is received.

I was so privileged to have Donna as a dear friend for 30 years. She blessed so many lives with her generous loving heart. She loved Arizona so much but was totally in love with Dexter and its people. Thank you for taking her into your hearts and for taking such good and loving care of her. She is now safe at home with the Lord and with her beloved Ron.
Donna was a beauty, as much inside as on the outside...a giving, caring, loving individual, so very bright and taken way too soon. She showed such courage and will serve as an inspiration to so many. Dexter was a better community for having had her in our midst, even for just a few years. She will be sadly missed.
I didn't get to know Mrs. Hill for very long but she was a wonderful woman. Even when she was back out west with her family and we would check on her with my church group she would always give us a positive report. Her outlook on life was one we can all learn from. She knew her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and she was ready to go and meet him when he called her home. I only wish I had been given more of an opportunity to learn from her knowledge and wisdom she had so much of. Mrs. Hill, I know you and Ron are praising God in Heaven right now. Bless your family and all those you touched while you were here on this Earth.
I am brokenhearted, but know that my friend is no longer in pain and is in heaven with her husband and rejoicing with all of our loved ones there with her. Donna, thank you for your friendship and support thru the years. I will miss you but will see you again someday.
Donna will truly be missed by all her family out here in California. She was such a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and friend. Extremely generous and nurturing. God has a wonderful angel rejoined with him in heaven. She is also in the arms of her beloved husband Ron. She's made a lasting impression on my life in the 6 years I've known her.
