Dexter connected for 11 hits, including a grand slam by Kelsey Flanigan in the first, to take the SCAA win. The game was called after just five innings when the mercy rule came into the play.
Amanda Dooley collected three of the hits and scored three times, along with Kayla Joyner, who was the only other Lady Bearcats with multiple hits with two, and also scored three times.

The win also gives the Lady Bearcat's a perfect 7-0 record in SCAA regular season play. Dexter picked up the SCAA tournament title earlier in the year.
"It's the third year in a row that we've been something and two," Dexter coach Tammy Crowley said with a little sound of disappointment in her voice. "But I'll take it any time. It's better than two and something."
Dexter's two losses came against Kennett early in the season and recently against Twin Rivers, a team Dexter has struggled with in recent years.
It was the last game of the season for Dexter, and also the last outing for four Dexter seniors.
"I just have to say something good about my seniors," Dexter coach Tammy Crowley said after the game. "I love them all and I'm going to miss them. I don't think the team realizes how much we will miss them next year.
Playing their last game for Dexter were Dooley, Flanigan, Rachel Taylor and Brittany Lewis.
Dooley, "the playmaker," as Crowley referred to her, played first base and pitched. She was nearly flawless in the field and the switch-hitter provided power at the plate and aggressiveness on the bases.
Flanigan anchored the infield at third base. "She always tried to fire up the team," Crowley pointed out. "I think it was great that she got a grand slam in her last game."
Taylor and Lewis shared second base duties for the Lady 'Cats, and while different, both brought something positive to the field each and every game.
"Brittany (Lewis) always made it look so easy playing defense," Crowley noted, "Her throws to first were always on target. And Rachel (Taylor) seemed like she was always getting on base. She didn't kill the ball, but she was always finding the right spot for the hit."
"Underclassmen don't look up to the seniors like they used to, but these girls have really had a big impact on our program and the success we have enjoyed the past three years" Crowley added.
"They will be hard to replace, and we'll miss them."

Play in the Fall when it counts.
