The Board of Directors for Public Water and Sewer District No. 7 met on May 1 to approve several requirements listed in the Letter of Conditions received from Rural Development in April. The board adopted Bylaws and the Rules and Regulations for the district as required by RD.

Mitzi Dell was hired as the block grant administrator and Waters Engineering was officially contracted to serve as the engineering firm for the project. Hux and Hux was secured as the project's law firm. Jeff Eftink was engaged as the district's CPA.

Bill Zoll reported to the board that the easement process is approximately 95 per cent complete and estimated that the process would be finished by mid-May. The board expressed thanks to all the landowners for their cooperation in helping the water district to move forward on the project.

Kenneth Keller's one-year term as director from Sub-district No. 1 will end on June 5. W.L. Conner will replace him at that time. The board expressed their public appreciation to Keller for his service to the water district.

It was announced that PWSD No. 7 will meet on June 5 at 7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church Annex at 307 W. Main in Bernie.
