Viola Mae Ross

Viola Mae Ross, daughter of the late Merley Quick and Cleo Wilson Quick, was born on May 8, 1922, in Bloomfield and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Friday, May 9, 2008, at the age of 86.

Mrs. Ross attended the Ark of Hope Church in Dexter, was a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

On Sept. 23, 1939, she was united in marriage to James Ross in Piggott, Ark. Mr. Ross preceded her in death on July 27, 1998.

Survivors include one son, Michael J. Ross of Moberly; one daughter, Mary Ann McCollough of Dexter; two sisters, Mildred Rainey of Dexter and Elsie Buttrey of Bernie; and three grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Millie Quick.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were then conducted at 12 noon Monday, May 12, 2008, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. David Hardin officiating.

Interment followed at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
