Veda A. Walker, daughter of the late Joseph Oscar Davis and Jane Priscilla Swift Davis, was born on Oct. 4, 1909, at Essex and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on Monday, May 12, 2008, at the age of 98.

Mrs. Walker was a member of the Southwest Church of the Nazarene in Dexter, a caregiver and resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Luther C. Walker on April 20, 1941, at Dexter. Mr. Walker preceded her in death on May 2, 1956.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.

Visitation was held from 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Steven Tippen officiating.

Interment followed in the Hagy Cemetery.
