Mrs. Arnett lived in Washington, D.C. until 1971 when she moved to Puxico. In 1991 she moved to Cape Girardeau. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Puxico where she was very active as a Sunday School teacher to the youth. She was an accomplished baker, and loved sharing her food with her many friends.
On June 19, 1946, she was married to Julius Warren Arnett, Jr., in Washington, D.C. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1991. Surviving are her daughter, Carlene and husband Michael Braun of Potomac, Md.; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at 10 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico with the Rev. Marshall Link of Puxico officiating.
Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
