Wilma A. Baker, daughter of the late Leo and Viola Breece, was born on August 22, 1941, at Parma and died in the Lincoln County Medical Center at Troy on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at the age of 66.

Mrs. Baker was a member of the O'Fallon Christian Church, a cook for 18 years with the Ft. Zumwalt School District and the Ft. Zumwalt Outdoor Education Program and a resident of Troy.

She was united in marriage to James Baker on Feb. 21, 1961, at Dexter. Mr. Baker survives of the home at Troy.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (Bill) Schrum of Wentzville and Lora (Steve) McCarthy of Houston; one son, James M. (Daniele) Baker of Liberty; three grandchildren, Drew, Darren and Nathan; four brothers, Tom Breece of San Angelo, Texas, Doyle Breece of Lonoke, Ark., Randall (Saunie) Breece of Jackson and Buck (Bea) Breece of Risco; two sisters, Pauline (Buddy) Baldwin and Lavada Oaker, both of Cuba.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Laverne Ohr and Betty Lawrence.

Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Williams officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sycamore Cemetery near Dexter.

Memorials may be made to the Wentzville Christian Church Ball Field Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
