Elvah Hyten

Elvah Hyten, daughter of the late Edward Dupree and Maude Davis Dupree, was born on June 24, 1921, at Blodgett and died in the Crowley Ridge Care Center at Dexter on Friday, June 13, 2008, at the age of 86.

She was a former injection molder at Modern Plastics at Benton Harbor, Mich.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Lester Hyten of Las Vegas, Nev., and Doyle Gene Hyten of Jackson; one daughter, Phyllis Hecker of Ellsinore; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, George Allen Dupree; and one sister, Laveda Dupree.

A private graveside memorial service will be conducted at the Dexter Cemetery.
