Mr. Morin was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter, the live production manager for Tyson Foods in Dexter, a member of Dexter Elks Lodge #2439 where he had served as Exalted Ruler for 2003-2004, a member of the Stoddard County Senior Citizens Board, a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Vietnam War and a resident of rural Dexter.
He was united in marriage to Cheryle Maggio on August 31, 1989 at Simsboro, La. Mrs. Morin survives of the home near Dexter.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, James David Morin Jr. of Baton Rouge, La; one daughter, Shaune Beard of Pineville, La.; one step-daughter, Toni Maggio of Springfield; two brothers, Bobby Morin of Plaquemine, La. and Kenneth Moon Morin of Ashville, Ala.; two sisters, Bonnie Haydel of Plaquemine, La. and Barbara Morin of Clinton, La.; two grandchildren, Lana Beard and Jacob Beard.
Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9 until 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2008.
Funeral services were then conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2008 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vaughn Wright officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors.
