Mark E. Shaffer of Bernie and Robyn M. Eaton of Dexter were married May 6, 1983. They are the parents of two daughters, Dena Elizabeth, a college student at Three Rivers in Poplar Bluff and Marcy Eryn, a sophomore at D.H.S. Their parents are Barney Shaffer and the late Bonnie Shaffer and Luedeana Eaton and the late William T. Eaton.

A surprise celebration was given by thirty family members and friends on Saturday, May 3, 2008, in the Church of God Fellowship Hall.

Mark is employed at Specialty Engineering of Dexter, and Robyn is employed by Allen Christian Buick of Dexter.
