"This is our year!" exclaimed President Annis Fortner. "We need to elect Democrats to the State and local offices! Forget the notion that some of our opponents aren't able to be defeated!"
A number of Democratic candidates showed up for the informal picnic, which featured a humorous, "down home" auction to raise money for the campaign of Bill Burleson, candidate for the 159th Missouri House of Representatives. Dale Wilson performed the duties of auctioneer, assisted by Dale Sifford and Sheriff Carl Hefner, acting as "ring man." Hefner is unopposed in his re-election.
Other candidates on hand at the Advance Ice Cream Social were Boyce Wooley and Bill Pippin, running for Commissioner in District #1 (Bernie City, Bernie rural and Pyle); Morgan Sifford, running for coroner; Brenda Wilson, Tonya Wethington, and Pam Lape, candidates for public administrator; Carla Moore and Tim Aslin, candidates for collector/treasurer; and Linda Sanders, running for a 6-county Missouri Senate seat currently occupied by Jason Crowell.
Fortner reminded the group of the Democratic Rally on Saturday, June 28 at the Elks' Lodge in Dexter. The rally, which starts at 6:30 p.m., will host candidates such as Claire McCaskill, Jay Nixon, Robin Carnahan, Sam Page (running for Lieutenant Governor), Joe Allen (running for Joann Emerson's seat), John Temparatti, chairman of the State Democratic party, and Mike Widner, who is running for Rod Jetton's seat in Bollinger County.

I'm vice chairman of the Prohibition National Committee and am a member and supporter of the Prohibition Party. My party's candidate, Gene Amondson will not be on the ballot here in Missouri. Therefore, I have chosen to vote Constitution Party for every candidate that it has on the Missouri ballot in November. I'll vote to reelect Billy Pat Wright and Rob Mayer to thier respective seats as they both are Pro-Life and Pro-Traditional marriage. The only Democrat I'm voting for is a show of support for unopposed Carl Hefner. He's done a great job as sheriff.
I'm sorry you feel we right wingers are "so self righteous." I don't consider myself any better than anybody else. I cannot and will not question on's faith or patriotism based on how he or she votes. but I do question one's judgement when that person claims to be pro-life or pro-traditional marriage and then votes for a party whose platform contradicts their beliefs. Our nation was founded as a Constitutional Republic or Democratic Republic based on Biblical religion and Moral absolutes. Liberals are trying to take us down the wrong road of a Socialist Democracy or Peoples Republic based on secular humanism and moral relevancy.

By reading your response, I can't tell who you are going to vote for. You don't like Democrats and don't like McCain. I guess you can vote for Barr or Nader.

I'm working on a blog for ourcampaigns.com on how true conservative Christian patriots can be informed voters. On of the points I'm going to make is, we need to think outside the box- the TV set. You won't get Accent Radio Network, Genesis Communications Network, Salem Radio Network, or Information Radio network on television. Shortwave radio is best followed by Christian radio on am or fm followed by independent news stations such as KLID 1340 am in Poplar Bluff.
Here's my prediction of what you'll hear at the rally. Rantings and ravings about how bad things are here in America. They'll tell you about we need to soak the rich with higher taxes, how unfair it is for some to have less than others (the ole socialistic class envy rant). The Democratic Party has always been and is now the party of secularism and moral relativism. How can a born again, Bible believing Christian vote for a Democrat. Well... I'm going to go ahead and give you what I said on Betty Jo's blog.
We Christians who are pro-life and believe in marriage between one man and one woman need to quit depending on the Republican Party. That being said, McCain is a Democrat in sheep's clothing. He's for higher taxes, and for selling our national sovereignty for globalism. Bill and Hillary Clinto are the Ahab and Jezebel of our day. They both hate Fundamentalist Bible preachers who dare preach moral absolutes. Obama is even further left than the Clintons but you died in the wool Democrats are going to vote for the man. He is anti 2nd ammendment rights, pro- homosexual rights, and is not pro-life. Mark my word! If Obama is elected and we have a socialist Democratic congress, you can kiss your Constitution goodby!
The Democratic Party has always been on the side of secularism and moral relativism. It is the party of Andrew Jackson who took thousands of Native Americans off their lands and made them march the Trail of Tears. It is the party that wanted to keep slavery legal. It is the party of Franklin Roosevelt who was instrumental in defeating Prohibition. It is the party of southern white supremacists like Senator Robert Byrd (a former klansman) who were for discrimination and for keeping Blacks out of voting booths. It is the party of the ACLU and Americans for Separation of Church and State. It is the party of secular humanistic univerity professors, Hollywood, environmentalist wackos, and Planned Parenthood. It is the party of gay (not really gay) rights, abortion rights, and gun control. And You Stoddard Countian Democrats are going to vote for Obama! Go ahead, and while you're at it, put conservative Bible believing Christians down for voting conservative. Yeah, we need change don't we? Let's just vote Obama in! He and big government will solve everything! Don't forget, Hitler promised jobs for everyone and universal health care too. Oh, and so did Castro and so did the Bolsheviks! Hmmmmm!

REPUBLICANS....you better vote these guys out or here is what is headed your way in a few years. Do your research and you will find small towns all over the country that can no longer support any social programs because they are overwhelmed by illegals....and it AINT Bush's fault.

Wildcat....maybe you should also say that since the Senate and the House of Representatives became DEMOCRAT majorities in 2006 the gas prices have doubled. Congress (BOTH SIDES)has sat on their collective butts on this one....but also remember which party has prevented any new oil refineries for over 30 years, drilling in ANWAR for the last 20 years, no more nuclear power plants. Bush my foot......it's called the liberals wanting their cake and eating it too.

When Bush took office, gas was $1.60 or so a gallon. When he leaves it will be over $5.00. Guess he had to do something for his oil tycoon pals from Texas....all at our expense...our economy is in shambles...good bye to all the middle class jobs.

Sounds like Dynaflow doesn't watch CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc, etc and see all the craziness that goes on around the country...all in the name of "social experimentation" by LIBERALS....of course this GOP member knows there are many great Democrats. The trouble is, THEY are not the ones who run the show or control the media or the school boards or the colleges. Why do you think Lieberman jumped ship and became an Independent?...because the LIBERAL DEMOCRATS tried stab him in the back and have a "looney tune" character take the place of this very wise and REASONABLE Democrat. Democrats don't like "reasonable"....they like to do things like slap a capitol guard because he didn't recognize the black congresswoman who changed her hairdo from corn rolls to afro....and then thinks she is so special. That's all you need is a bunch of liberals running things in Stoddard County. They will be teaching that radical facist muslims are just misunderstaood, that Jihad is peaceful,that it's okay for Billy to have 2 Mommy's or 2 Daddys, that 10 year old children need to know the "mechanics" of a condom, that 12 year old Johnny should be suspended from school for having a flavored "chapstick", and kicked out if he shares it with another. That people who have actually WORKED to earn their occupation, homes, education, and money should give a major portion up to those who have no initiative nor desire to actually WORK. The list can go on ad infinitum.
All I can say is..if you are a Republican, you better get registered NOW to vote and make sure that you go to the polls in November. This country is in a world of hurt if the liberals take over the whitehouse too. We need to take back both houses...and keep the whitehouse. Holy smokes.....EDUCATE yourselves about the liberals and what they stand for and believe in. Don't you think there is a REASON there have been no attacks on U.S. soil since 9/11? If we put a Jimmy Carter clone in the whitehouse you may as well prepare to have a lot of TV coverage of the subsequent attacks on our cities....all because the liberals don't want to listen to TERRORISTS' phone calls....
It is absolutely insane the way these people think. MoveOn.org, Code Pink, ALL the exact SAME...anti-America, Anti-Christ, and Anti-Founding Fathers' intent. Their excuse..."The Constitution is a dynamic document that must change with time".......Yep..they want to change it alright..and take EVERY mention of God or prayer out of every government building and ceremony.
I spent 30 years in the Marine Corps and we STILL PRAY on federal property en masse. Just try to tell the people who protect your freedoms that they can't thank GOD in any way they choose.
