Frieda Bailey, daughter of the late James Perry Wright and Lily Foss Wright, was born on July 15, 1910, at Lukin Town, Ill., and died in the Gideon Care Center on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at the age of 97.

Mrs. Bailey was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, a former educator with the Dexter Public School System for 43 years, a member of the United Methodist Women, active with the Epworth Children's Center and the Wesley Children's Center and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Earl Bailey on July 10, 1938, at Parma. Mr. Bailey preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1975.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, John Wright, Leon Wright, Carl Wright and Pat Wright; and two sisters, Enid Hayes and Thelma Del La Haye.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Dexter.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2008, in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Marner-Sides and Rev. Roy Sherfield officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
