Shirley Lynn

Shirley Lynn, daughter of Anna Mae Carey of Dexter and the late Winford Lewis, was born on Feb. 16, 1936, at Lesterville and died in the St. Luke's Hospital at St. Louis on Saturday, June 28, 2008, at the age of 72.

Mrs. Lynn was an administrative assistant with Hampton-Tiley Civil Engineering and a resident of St. Peters.

She was united in marriage to Ernest Lynn on May 16, 1953, at Piggott, Ark. Mr. Lynn preceded her in death on May 26, 1982.

Survivors include one son, Bruce Lynn of St. Louis; her mother, Anna Mae Carey of Dexter; two brothers, Lowell Bud Lewis of Puxico and Roy Lewis of Advance; and one sister, Linda Keith of Dexter.

Besides her husband and father, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Cerutti.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2008, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phil Warren officiating.

Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
