Bloomfield man charged with making terrorist threat

Wednesday, July 9, 2008

A 38-year-old Bloomfield man sits in the Stoddard County Jail under a $50,000 cash bond today on a charge of having made a terrorist threat.

According to the Sheriff's Department, Andrew Forrister was arrested yesterday upon his release from a psychiatric facility where he had undergone evaluation following the alleged threat that was made several weeks ago.

The charges stem from an incident in early June during which Forrister allegedly made a verbal threat to blow up the Lighthouse Christian Center located on Highway 25 just outside of Dexter. Forrister has been in the care of a mental health facility since the alleged threat was made and was taken into custody upon his release on Tuesday.

Forrister is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday to answer the charges.

If you build it they will come. What a load. I showed up every Sunday for years at that light house. Not one time was there ever a church service held inside.

Not the churches fault in this case. Pastor Tim's track record is clean........like my kitchen floor.

It's funny how people can comment on things such as how the lighthouse was purchased. People don't need to be commenting on things they know nothing about. The lighhouse was donated. That means the person that donated the money specifically wanted it to be put towards this. It really is none of anyones business how this was purchased. It didn't come out of YOUR pocket. It is sad that anytime a church is mentioned in any kind of topic, it always turns out to be the churches fault. People need to be praying for this man and for the church.

Glad they caught this SEMO Terrorist. The Lighthouse stands.

The erection of the light isn't the only way that place asks for and spends money in shady ways. Mama seems concerned.

????What does the building of a light house have to do with this story???? I see he alledgedly threatened to blow it up, but. what does the money it cost to build it or to keep it running have to do with the story? Sounds like some of the forums on TOPIX.

actually I think it is children...back at ya M68:)

God's money? I missed that part in the Bible where He took over the Federal Reserve...but I do agree it doesn't seem like money well spent!

actually I think that's pentagon, actually I think the lighthouse is kinda cool but do you really think God is looking down and it and saying thank you my chilfdren what a beautiful thing you have done with my money?! I really think the money could have been spent more wisely not to mention, What does it cost to keep it operating? IMHO I think it was a waste of good deed money, but like I said, it's kinda cool especially when driving home on a good clear night from Sikeston.

Good thing we got him. I heard that a recently declassified file released from the Pentegon confirmed that Bin Laden had the Dexter Lighthouse on his top 10 targets to strike in the future. Charles Bland Stadium was 11...Earl Wheeler's number.

Pastor Tim would never let anyone blow up the Lighthouse. I remember back in the day, seeing this terrorist mouth off to a Dexter boy who proceeded to pull him from his car and beat him down. As some old folk would say, that boy ain't never been right.
