According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 10:20 p.m. on State Route P about 1.1 miles west of TT, a 2004 Dodge truck driven by 29-year-old Justin Powell ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
Powell received minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Madison County Memorial. Tori Ford, 30 of Puxico, was a passenger in the vehicle and received serious injuries. She was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Powell was arrested following the accident and charged with 2nd Degree Assault.

Who the heck is Tory and when did all this mess take place. You people are driving me nuts by not giving the full story. I need the Scooooooop peeps.
So, Tory's husband got killed in another McGee wreck and the driver was drunk and on drugs, but no arrest. This latest accident, Tory was hanging with another dude who took some frustration out on a tree, then ran, and he had some books thrown at him?
Tory must really know how to party.
The amazing thing about this story is that tory just lost her hubby to a car wreck a couple of months ago, he was a passenger in a vehicle and the driver left the scene of the accident and was under the influence but he wasn't arrested for assault or vehicular homicide. What is really going on. Why did they arrest her new boyfriend but they didn't arrest her deceased hubbys killer?
I see. That is the scoop I was looking for.
McGee is a very liberal town. The assault charge was for hurting the tree.
OK...making up the story myself. The guy picked up this chick at Scooter's 2, drove out to McGee to see if the fish were biting. Had a few Bud Select's, a little Boone's Farm, and a shot or two of Schnapp's. Hit a tree, ran from the scene and left the girl there, hoping she would be alright, but selfishly not wanting any trouble. Was caught by helicopter and is now facing charges. How is that?
Tell me the story then......can't figure this one out on my own Puhico.
There is more to the story....
So let me get this straight.....Going off the road and hitting a tree is a crime? Going to need more here Corey. Either there is more to the story or I ain't cruising through McGee anymore.
Glad they are both going to be OK.
