Freddie Stroud

Freddie Stroud, son of the late Sherman and Hattie Yates Stroud, was born at Hunterville on May 27, 1918, and died at Golden Living Center in Bloomfield on July 11, 2008, at the age of 89.

Mr. Stroud had spent all his life in the Bloomfield community. Survivors include several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Archie Stroud, Isom Stroud, Oscar Stroud, Charlie Stroud, Ira 'Buckle' Stroud; and one sister, Fronie Monroe.

Visitation was held at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2008.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, July 14, 2008, at 10 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Sue Welborn officiating.

Interment followed in the Bluff Cemetery at Idalia.
