Mrs. Woodall had lived most of her life in and around Matthews. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Matthews. She had worked as a cook in many area restaurants.
On October 5, 1963, she married Eugene "Gene" Woodall, and he survives at Matthews. One daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Derek McKown of Sikeston also survive, along with two grandsons, Caleb Crum and Nathaniel McKown of Sikeston; one brother, Harold Yancy of Sikeston; three sisters, Kathy Taylor of Matthews, Norma Busby of Anna, IL, and Ruth Avery of Essex, and many nieces and nephews. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Elbert, Jack, and Johnny Baker, one in infancy, and three sisters, Polly Burch, Shirley Jean and one in infancy.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the Watkins and Sons Funeral home in Dexter. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev Jamie Jones of Kansas City officiating.
Interment will be in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
