Pauline Griffy

Pauline Griffy, daughter of the late Curtis Eskew and Eva Martin Eskew, was born on August 3, 1936, near Bloomfield and died at her residence in Jackson on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the age of 71.

Mrs. Griffy was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Jackson, a former High School librarian in the Sunrise School District in DeSoto and the Richland School District in Essex, a former resident of Dexter and a current resident of Jackson.

She was united in marriage to Dale R. Griffy on August 31, 1956 at Dexter. Mr. Griffy preceded her in death on December 18, 2002.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Greg Davis of Imperial and Karen and Rocky Davis of Jackson; three grandchildren, Katie Davis, Zachary Davis and Cody Davis; one brother, Larry "Butch" Eskew of Jackson; three sisters, Delois Gales of Dexter, Reta DePriest of Kennett and JoAnn Pettibone of Overland.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Eskew and Dean Eskew.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2008.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Bob Lewis and Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating.

Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
