Jerry H. Johnson, 75, of Malden was born July 17, 1933, at Malden and died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
He was the son of James Home "Shorty" Johnson and Lemma Harris Johnson.
On Dec. 9, 1951, he was united in marriage to Pat McGill, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 2, 2006.
He had been part owner of Patty Cake Bakery in Malden, was a retired church builder; and he also worked at Houchins Donuts in Sikeston. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Malden.
Survivors include two daughters, Susie Hays of Malden and Sherry Johnson of Sikeson; one son, Jim Johnson of League City, Texas; two granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; two step-great-grandsons; one brother, Charles Johnson of Malden; two sisters, Marilee Jacobitz and Martha Singleton of Clinton, Ill., both of Clinton, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with Rev. Jack Allen, Rev. Howard Winberry and Bill Hampton officiating.
Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
