Capps celebrate 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Capps of Lubbock, Texas, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 9, 2008, with a family trip to the Current River and Big Spring Park near Van Buren. A reception was held in their honor at First Baptist Church of Van Buren, hosted by their children, Ken Capps and wife, Kristi, of Evergreen, Colo.; Ben Capps and wife, Catherine, of Kansas City; Karen Drake and husband, Joel, of Meadow, Texas.

Robert O. (Bob) Capps and the former Donna Sue Duncan were married Aug. 9, 1958, in Wheaton which was her hometown. Bob's early years were spent in the Bloomfield area. The Capps' have eight grandchildren.
