Mildred Christine Evans

Mildred Christine Evans, 73, of Sikeston, died on Aug. 8, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born on July 28, 1935, in Moulton, Ala., to the late Robert and Flossie Garrison Parker, and she was a homemaker and a member of Bird's Corner Assembly of God Church.

On July 29, 1963, in Decatur, Ala., she married Jack Evans, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Randy Heron of Somerville, Ala., Tim Evans and Tracy Jack Evans, both of Dexter; one sister, Kathleen Landers of Moulton, Ala.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

One brother preceded her in death.

Visitation was held Sunday evening, Aug. 10, 2008, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, in the Nunnelee Chapel with Rev. Dale Gregory officiating.

Interment followed in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
