Hubert Wilson Wheeler

Hubert Wilson Wheeler, 90, son of the late Wilson Jasper Wheeler and Elizabeth Brawley Wheeler, was born July 7, 1918, at Wynnburg, Tenn., and died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at his residence in Malden.

He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden and a former employee of Board of Public Works.

Survivors include his wife, Willodean Wheeler of Malden; two daughters, Carolyn Shipman of Kennett and Janet Murphy of Bernie; one son, Mike Wheeler of Dexter; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, Blanche Buck, Viola Allen, Stella Garrett, Jessie Buck and Jewell Cottrell.

Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at Rosewood Cemetery in Malden with Rev. Joe Castoe officiating.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden is in charge of arrangements.
