Brandon Lee Morales, son of Fernando Morales and Trina Kaye Slavings, was born in Poplar Bluff on May 29, 1995, and died in Poplar Bluff on Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at the age of 13.
Brandon had lived in the Malden area most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed drawing and fishing.
Surviving are his father, Fernando Morales of Aurora, Ill.; his mother and step-father, Trina Kaye Slavings and Ryan Loberg of Malden; three brothers, Joseph and Michael Morales, both of Aurora, Ill., and Antonio Morales of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Desiree Morales of McCrory, Ark. and Alyssa Morales of Poplar Bluff; paternal grandparents, Elida Bustanante of Aurora, Ill., and Benito Morales of Houston, Texas; his maternal grandparents, Mike and Peggy Slavings of Malden.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at the Watkins Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Jerry Chaney of Malden officiating.
Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Dieterlie Memorial Home in Montgomery, Ill.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at the Dieterlie Memorial Home in Montgomery, Ill.
Interment will follow in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Aurora, Ill.
Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of local arrangements.
