Bobby Ray Joiner, Sr.

Bobby Ray Joiner, Sr., the son of Eva Ellen Chamblin Joiner and the late Howard Eugene Joiner, was born Sept. 3, 1949, at Holcomb.

He was united in marriage to Kathleen Marie Simmons on March 8, 2000, at Piggott, Ark., and she survives of the home in Tallapoosa.

He had been a maintenance worker with the City of Malden.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Joiner of Tallapoosa; one son, Bobby Joiner, Jr. of Bloomfield; two daughters, Belinda Reynolds of Essex and Stephanie Gilbert of Dexter; his mother, Eva Joiner of Malden; two step-daughters, Cyndi Wilson of Malden and Christina Smith of Dexter; two brothers, Ricky Joiner of Alton and Johnny Joiner of Malden; four sisters, Frances McGinley of Dudley, Sharon Blake of Malden, Carlean McGinley of Clarkton, and Debbie Farmer of Bloomfield; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Gary Gilbert officiating.

Interment followed at Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
